WORLD TAIKO CONFERENCE
- Connecting the World with Taiko -
One performing art is cherished in communities all over Japan: taiko (Japanese drumming).
Taiko provides the rhythm to summer festivals that excites and energizes everyone there.
But there is so much more to taiko than the summer traditions that most commonly spring to mind.
As Japan and its rich culture draws global attention, this year is the perfect occasion to connect the world with taiko–the instrument and folk art that has been the heartbeat of Japanese communities for centuries.
